A woman was murdered in Chhattisgarh on 29 May 2020. It is not known who the killer was and why he killed the woman. After this, another woman was killed in March 2024 as well. While the police were still investigating the case, suddenly they discovered the killer. The killer himself told this to his friend while drunk. The killer is disabled. He likes to relate with women. The killer also killed those women only because they did not listen to him.

As soon as the friend heard this, the ground slipped from under his feet. He went straight to the police station. He told the whole thing to the police. Now the disabled accused is in police custody. The accused has been identified as 32-year-old Tejram Konda. He lives with his parents and two siblings in a village in Baloda Bazar district. According to police, Konda allegedly killed a 36-year-old mentally ill woman of the village on May 29, 2020.

The body was found near a tree about 100 meters from his house. The accused used to sexually exploit women. Police said – when the woman refused to fulfill his demand, he got angry. The stranger did not notice the situation and hit the woman on the head with a stick. After this, an attempt was made to hang him from a tree to make the incident look like suicide, but a case of murder was registered.

However, after that the matter was settled. Four years later, on March 13, 2024, the police again found the body of a 56-year-old woman from the same village in a lake near her house. He also had injury marks on his head. The police registered a case of murder against unknown people. According to the police, about a month later, an inebriated Konda told a friend in sign language that he had killed the 56-year-old woman, after which the police came to know about the incident.

According to Superintendent of Police Kishore Wasnik, there were similarities between the two cases. In both cases, the women were left alone for months as their family members went out for work. Also, both women lived in secluded areas in two corners of the village. There was similarity in the manner of the murders, as both were beaten on the head and their bodies were dragged out of their homes.’ The police officer said that Konda has confessed his crime. After which he was arrested on September 6. When the women refused his demands, he assaulted them.
