Credit card rules are about to change

The credit card has become a very important part of many people’s lives. Nowadays credit cards have made the lives of common people easier. People typically use credit cards for all transactions, including purchases. As of today, the month of July has begun, with this there will be a change in the rules related to credit cards of many banks. This includes everything from rewards points to card-related fees. If you also use a credit card then this news may be useful to you. There have been no changes to your credit card rules.

Changes in SBI credit card rules

SBI Card has announced that now customers will not get reward points for any type of government transaction from July 1, 2024. While in some SBI cards this feature will be discontinued from July 15, 2024.

ICICI Bank Credit Card Rules

ICICI Bank has also decided to implement new rules related to credit cards from July 1, 2024. Now ICICI cardholders will have to pay a fee of Rs 200 instead of Rs 100 for card replacement. With this, the charges of Rs 100 on cheques and over-the-counter withdrawals will be waived. At the same time, the charge of Rs 100 on request for charge slip has also been waived. It has also been decided to waive the 1% charge on the cheque value i.e. Rs 100. Along with this, the fee of Rs 100 for requesting duplicate account statement has now also been waived.

Citibank Credit Card Rules

Axis Bank has asked customers using Citibank credit cards to complete all migration processes before July 15, 2024. The bank has informed its customers via email.

HDFC Bank Credit Card Rules

HDFC Bank is also going to change its credit card rules. This rule will come into effect from August 1, 2024. HDFC Bank Limited credit card customers will now have to pay more charges for using platforms like CRED, Paytm, Cheq, MobiKwik and Freecharge.
