Two years after the divorce, Farhan has regrets
Actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar is often in the news regarding his personal life. Most of all he made headlines for his divorce and his second marriage. Farhan married Adhuna Bhabani in the year 2000, but the two divorced after 17 years. Both have two daughters Shakya and Akira. After this, Farhan married Shibani Dandekar again. Talking about his marriage recently, Farhan said that he feels a lot of regret after getting divorced.
Farhan was seen in Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast ‘Chapter 2’ along with Akhtar and Shibani. On the show, Rhea asked about the difference in access to Shibani’s family and Farhan’s daughters after her divorce. Responding to this question, Farhan said that he was to blame for his divorce, as it had a profound effect on both his daughters. However, it is neither of them’s fault. It was very difficult for them to accept this, because for one moment they both considered our relationship strong and perfect, and the next moment it was broken. I hold myself responsible for this loss to both of them.
‘Both will be angry at that time’
Farhan shared his feelings at the time of his parents’ divorce, saying that both of them would have many questions about why this happened and also anger. All this can be true only when we talk to each other and spend time with each other. Talking about the present, Farhan said that both Shakya and Akira have now accepted the situation. His relationship with Shibani is also very good. If the four of us go out somewhere, Shibani, Shakya and Akira will get together and make fun of me. A very good understanding has developed between the three.

The family helped Shibani
Shibani said in this matter that the Akhtar family helped a lot to blend in the family. Much of the credit goes to these two for mending relations with Shakya and Akira. All this proved very helpful for me in getting to know the family. The Akhtar family never made me feel like an outsider.
Farhan started dating Shibani in 2018, a year after his divorce from Adhuna Bhabani. After dating each other for several years, the two got married.
