Ajay Devgan refused to extend the release date
This year on Diwali, people will get to see a clash between two big films. Multistarrer films ‘Singham Again’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyya 3’ are going to release together on November 1. While the audience is eagerly waiting for this clash, the makers of both the films are asking each other to postpone the release. Meanwhile, there are also news that Ajay Devgn has refused to accept the request of the makers of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyya 3’.
Ajay Devgan starrer ‘Singham Again’ stars Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor and Tiger Shroff, seeing them together on the big screen is exciting in itself. ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 3’ stars Karthik Aryan, Tripti Dimri, Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan. Both are the most anticipated films of this year. Even though both the makers are not moving dates back and forth, a film can suffer a huge loss if the two clash.
The makers of both the films met
Reportedly, Bhushan Kumar, the producer of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, has met Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn to change the date, but nothing has happened. The makers of ‘Singham Again’ say that their film has been made only for Diwali. Earlier the release date of ‘Singham Again’ was set to be 15th August, which was later fixed during Dussehra but then the date was changed to Diwali. ‘Singham Again’ is produced by Jio Studios.

According to a report by Koimoi.com, last week Bhushan Kumar had a meeting with Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn regarding the clash of films. In this meeting, Bhushan Kumar asked to advance the date of ‘Singham Again’ so that the business of both the films is not affected. But Ajay Devgn has refused to extend the release date, as it is being said that ‘Singham Again’ has already changed its dates twice and now he does not want to delay the film any more. However, nothing has been officially announced about Bhushan Kumar’s meeting with Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgan.
The clash of films is not about ego or power
A while ago, Jyoti Deshpande, co-producer of ‘Singham Again’ was talked about the clash between ‘Singham Again’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyya 3’, in which he said that his film is a special film for Diwali. The clash of the two films is a business decision and not one of ego or power. Jyoti said that if any film clashes with each other, there will naturally be a loss, but it is also possible that both the films will do good business. Well, we want both films to do well, just some more of our films. He has also said that a strategy has been prepared for the marketing of the film.
This year saw such a clash on August 15, which took place between ‘Stree 2’, ‘Khel-Khel Mein’ and ‘Ved’. In this clash, the film ‘Stree 2′ produced by Jio Studios did wonders at the box office. Now, the next big clash is between Jio Studios’ ‘Singham Again’ and T-Series’ ‘Bhool Bhullaiyya 3’.
