A shocking case has come to light from Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh. Here a fisherman got caught in his own net, due to which he died. When people saw the dead body of the fisherman trapped in the fish net, there was a commotion. As soon as the incident was reported, they rushed to the spot. Someone informed the police about this. The police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem.
According to the police, injury marks were seen on the face of the deceased. His body was found rigid after falling into the water. Police say that the cause of death will be clear after the postmortem report. Police have registered a case and started investigation. After this incident, there is chaos in the house of the deceased. The family members are in a bad condition and are crying. Deceased was fond of fishing.
Built a hut and slept on the canal bank at night
The incident took place in a small canal located on Sankara Khamharia Road in Nagri block of the district. According to the police, 55-year-old Barathuram, a resident of Khamharia village, was catching fish by casting a net in the canal. Like every time, on Tuesday too, he left home with a fishing net. Coming to the canal, he cast a net to catch fish. At night he pitched a hut on the bank of the canal and slept there. When the villagers came out in the morning, they found Barathuram trapped in the drain and dead.
The body of the fisherman caught in the net was found
After receiving information about the matter, the police reached the spot and took out the body of Barathuram by removing the net from the drain. Police say that he died due to entrapment. It is feared that Barathuram may have fallen into the drain while sleeping at night and got trapped. He may have died due to drowning. Regarding the injury marks found on the face, the police say that stones have fallen at the place where Barathuram’s body was found. The police speculated that he may have sustained an injury on his face after falling on a stone. Police are investigating the incident.
