A 7 minute scene from Devara was removed
‘Deora: Part 1’ is slated to hit the theaters on September 27. The earnings of this film are being estimated from the way the film has been pre-sold. ‘Deora: Part 1’ also stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor alongside NTR. The film was given a UA certificate by the Censor Board, but the makers cut the Hindi version of the film just 3 days before the release date.
Junior NTR’s film ‘Deora: Part 1’ was given a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Certification on 18 September. But still, trimming was done from two different scenes of the film, with one scene of 7 minutes being deleted. At that time, the length of the Hindi version of the film was 177 minutes 59 seconds, but after some time the makers approached the censor board again, after which some scenes were removed from the film.
Runtime is 170 minutes 58 seconds
The first scene at 4 minutes 41 seconds has been deleted, with the line beginning with ‘Kya Ray, are you selling fish to a sea dweller?’ and ending with ‘I’ll definitely spend a night with you’. Except for this scene, the rolling titles were cut from the film. Its length was 2 minutes 19 seconds. After removing the scene, the length of the film was reduced to 170 minutes 58 seconds. However, these scenes were already removed from the Telugu version.

Talking about the Telugu version, it was reported in Bollywood Hungama that CBFC has removed 3 scenes from the Telugu version of ‘Deora: Part 1’. The CBFC asked for the cuts to the Telugu version on 11 September itself, which was completed on 19 September. It is said that Devara’s runtime was shortened to avoid screen-sharing issues.
As for the film, ‘Deora: Part 1’ has been made in two parts, although there is no information yet on when the second part will come out. Saif Ali Khan has played a negative role in this film. The film has broken records in America in terms of pre-booking. It will be very interesting to see how the film will fare at the box office.
