Bhole Baba and special servant Dev Prakash Madhukar
UP Police has arrested Bhole Baba alias Narayan Sakar Hari’s special sevak Dev Prakash Madhukar in connection with the stampede that broke out during the satsang on July 2 in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. Madhukar has been arrested from Delhi. During initial enquiry, the police found that Dev Prakash Madhukar used to organize Bhole Baba’s events and also collect funds for these events. These are two important roles of Dev Prakash in these events.
Hathras SP Nipun Aggarwal said that preliminary investigation revealed that Dev Prakash Madhukar was working on the post of junior engineer since 2008. This is the person who stopped the policemen from coming to the spot. Many other servants also supported him. These people were responsible for all the arrangements during the program. The police said that the organizers had violated several things in the permission taken for the satsang.
What happened during the stampede?
SP Nipun Aggarwal said that when a stampede broke out during the program, no sevakarma came forward to control the crowd and no attempt was made to stop the crowd. After the stampede, all the servants ran away. Such a big accident has happened due to chaos during satsang. Bhole Baba’s car was deliberately taken out of the crowd after the satsang was over. The servants knew that there was a great crowd and it was not proper to do so. However, these people did not pay attention.
Madhukar was managing the fund
During the interrogation it is revealed that Dev Prakash Madhukar is Baba’s closest servant and he not only organizes the program for him but also does the fundraising work for the program. In such a situation, even the police are now busy investigating political connections. The police suspect that Bhole Baba may have received funds from a political party, though the police have not yet received any concrete evidence. However, the police is also investigating in this direction.
The money trail is also being investigated
Police are currently busy checking the background of Dev Prakash Madhukar after arresting him. According to the police, being a leading servant, Madhukar also handled money transactions. So his money trail is also being investigated. Movable and immovable properties of Madhukar are also being investigated. Along with the police, the Income Tax Department and the Revenue Department are also busy gathering information about Madhukar. The police are currently probing Madhukar’s call details as well. The police said that Madhukar will be taken into police custody and will be questioned in detail.
