People of Lakhimpur Kheri district of UP are suffering from dengue and malaria. But the Deputy CMO is worried about marriage. Deputy CMO is pressuring Asha Worker for marriage. The husband of victim Asha Worker says that Deputy CMO Lalji Pasi calls his wife in the middle of the night due to which he is very upset. He also said that we had complained to the CMO about this. He has not yet taken any action. Disappointed we had to complain to the DM.
Asha Kamarjahan, a resident of village Lalpur, who works in CHC Ramiyabehad, approached the DM with a complaint letter and said that Deputy CMO Lalji Pasi is pressuring me for marriage. I am very disturbed by this. The victim said she complained to the CMO, but no action was taken. The victim said that the Deputy CMO calls me late at night. All the officers present there including the DM were shocked after hearing Asha Karamjahan’s words.
The victim complained to the DM
The victim complained to the DM saying that Deputy CMO Lalji Pasi was calling her day and night. He used to call from different mobile numbers on August 29 at around 10 pm and on August 30 at around 12 am, pressuring for marriage. Also, if the Deputy CM did not do so, he was threatened with death. Asha Worker’s husband Hanif Ahmed said that people call even late at night to arrange marriages. Not only this, they come and call you and harass you. A complaint about the Deputy CMO was made to the CMO a few days ago but he did not take any action.
Push for marriage
The Deputy CMO constantly nags his wife to get married. Due to which the wife is mentally disturbed and scared. Hanif Ahmed said that a petition was given to the DM on Monday demanding action. The DM has ordered an inquiry into the entire matter.
CMO Dr. Santosh Gupta said that Asha worker had brought a complaint. The recording he played for us. It neither had the Deputy CMO’s voice nor his phone number. He said that the entire incident is being investigated and action will be taken against whoever is accused.
