‘Deora’ could not shake ‘Stree 2’
Junior NTR’s most awaited film ‘Deora: Part 1’ was released on 27th September. The film earned well before its release. The way the hype was created about the film, it seemed that the film would do wonders even on the opening day. But if we compare this film with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao starrer ‘Stree 2’, ‘Deora: Part 1’ lost to ‘Stree 2’ in terms of earnings. While ‘Stree 2’ is doing wonders at the box office even on its 46th day, the Hindi version of ‘Deora’ is lagging behind at the box office.
‘Deora’ is a high budget film, in which Junior NTR is seen in a double role, while the film also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. Both the Bollywood actors made their debut in Telugu with this film. However, after the release of ‘Deora’, the first weekend earnings are good, but when any film comes in and becomes a slacker in terms of earnings, ‘Stree 2’ is losing steam even after a month and a half. Just don’t take it.
‘Deora’ First Week Earnings
Talking about the first weekend earnings of ‘Deora’, according to Secnilk, the Hindi version of ‘Deora’ earned Rs 7.5 crore on the first day of the week i.e. Friday, Rs 9 crore on Saturday and Rs 11 crore on Sunday. Talking about the earnings of ‘Stree 2’, the film has collected Rs 90 lakh on Friday, Rs 2.1 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.65 crore on Sunday in its sixth weekend.

‘Deora’ did well in the pre-sale. This film was much discussed not only in the country but also abroad. The film also created a new record during the pre-sale in America. The audience was eagerly waiting for this film, as Jr NTR was to be seen in a solo film after almost 6 years. Although ‘Deora’ has done well on its opening day, the film’s first day net collection was Rs 82.5 crore, but the film failed to cross the Rs 10 crore mark in its Hindi version.
‘Stree 2’ earned Rs 698.35 crore
After the trailer of ‘Deora’ was launched, people believed that the magic of ‘Stree 2’ would fade after the release of the film, but it didn’t. For the past several weeks, ‘Stree 2’ has been doing very well at the weekend. You can see his stats above. ‘Stree 2’ in its first week on Friday collected Rs. 31.4 crore, on Saturday Rs. 43.85 crore and on Sunday Rs. 55.9 crore earned. In 45 days, the total gross collection of ‘Stree 2’ across the country is Rs 698.35 crore.
