A speeding car claimed the life of a Delhi Police constable.

Police have registered an FIR against two people, including the car driver, in connection with the murder of constable Sandeep Malik in Delhi’s Nangloi area. They have been identified. The accused killed the constable by running over it with a car. The accused were drinking while sitting in the car. Police constable Sandeep forbade him to drink alcohol. Enraged by that, he killed Sandeep. A colleague of the deceased constable complained to the police about the incident that took place on the night of the incident.

Constable Sandeep Malik was killed by a speeding car on the Nangloi-Railway Station road at around 2 am on September 28-29. The CCTV footage of the incident also went viral. The accused car driver dragged the constable for 10 meters. The police seized the car involved in the crime. The deceased constable met his partner before the incident. He is also a constable in Delhi Police. The police have registered a case on his complaint.

Sandeep was seen in civil dress

Khushi Ram, an associate of the deceased constable Sandeep Malik, told the police that he was a resident of Alwar in Rajasthan and was posted as a constable at Ranhola police station in Delhi. His partner Sachin is also stationed in this police station. Sachin and deceased constable Sandeep Malik live on rent in a house located in Veena Enclave. He was met by Sandeep Malik in civil dress at railway station road at around 2 o’clock on the night of the incident. Khushi Ram said that when Sandeep was asked, he said that thefts are on the rise in the area, so thieves are being kept on alert by being on duty in plain clothes.

The accused were drinking while sitting in the car

Khushi Ram said that she and Sachin met Sandeep and started walking. Meanwhile, as Sandeep went ahead, he saw a white Wagon R parked near the Nangloi Government School. Its windows were open. Dharmendra Bhandari, a resident of Veena Enclave, was drinking with one of his friends when Sandeep approached the car. Seeing this, Sandeep forbade him to drink alcohol. Hearing this, Dharmendra got angry and asked constable Sandeep, ‘What is your position?’ Hearing this, Sandeep threatened to take him to the police station. Hearing this, Dharmendra ran towards the railway station. Sandeep chased him on a bike. Khushi Ram and Sachin also followed Sandeep.

Another accused said ‘kill’

Khushi Ram said that accused Dharmendra Bhandari stopped the car towards the lane leading from Jat Dharamshala to Veena Enclave. Sandeep reached the car on a bike. He started driving the car slowly. When Sandeep asked to stop the car, the person sitting next to Dharmendra asked him to hit Sandeep. In the meantime accused Dharmendra accelerated his car and later hit Sandeep’s bike. Due to the collision, Sandeep fell down from the bike. The accused sped off and ran over her.

Sandeep got trapped between two cars

At high speed, the car collided with another car parked ahead. Sandeep got trapped between the two cars. The accused kept increasing the speed of the car, due to which Sandeep was seriously injured. Accused Dharmendra left the moving vehicle and ran away. Khushi Ram said that he and his friend Sachin rushed to Sandeep. The collision left him with a deep head injury and he was bleeding profusely. They nabbed the second accused who was sitting in the car. He was identified as Rajneesh, a resident of Veena Enclave.

Doctors declared Sandeep dead

Khushi Ram and Sachin reached Sonia Hospital with the injured Sandeep and the accused Rajneesh in the Wagon R car of the accused. Injured Sandeep was admitted there. Here the accused Rajneesh ran away quickly. Doctors administered first aid and Sandeep was referred to a higher center in critical condition. He died while being taken in an ambulance. Police have registered a case against accused Dharmendra Bhandare and Rajneesh.
