Crook in Delhi Police custody.
Delhi Crime Branch has arrested a wanted criminal in the case of robbery of 8 crores in Paharganj area. In the year 2022, the criminal along with his accomplices committed a robbery during a jewelery delivery in Parvatganj area. After carrying out the incident, the miscreants escaped with gold, diamonds and silver jewelery worth Rs 8 crore. Two years after the incident, the police have arrested a criminal.
The name of the arrested criminal is Ajit Singh, his age is 40 years. Ajit Singh is the mastermind of the robbery. It was he who had prepared the plan to rob the jewelry. He was arrested two years after the incident. Even before this, the police had arrested 6 miscreants involved in the robbery incident. Ajit Singh was absconding in this case. The gang carried out the robbery in August 2022 during a jewelery delivery on Parvatganj’s Desh Bandhu Gupta Road.
The robbery took place on 31 August 2022
Someveer, a resident of Ambala in Haryana state, complained to the police that on August 31, 2022, he was ambushed by some assailants while he was delivering jewelery with his partner near Pahadganj Desh Bandhu Gupta Road. The victim said that one of the miscreants who attacked him, wearing a police uniform, threw chilli powder on me. After which I stopped watching.
Jewelery worth 8 crores was looted
The victim said the miscreants fled with two bags and a cartoon full of jewelery from her hand. The loot included 6.27 kg of gold, 106 diamonds and 2.9 kg of silver, with an estimated value of Rs 8 crore. According to the police investigation, Najafgarh residents Manish Kumar, Nagesh Kumar, Shivam, Chitresh Bisht, Sachin Mehra and Paramveer are involved in the robbery incident. After his arrest, all the looted jewelery was recovered. But the mastermind of the gang, Ajit Singh, was absconding. Now he has been arrested.
