On Saturday night itself, liquor smugglers not only ran over a police constable at a checkpoint in Nangloi, but also dragged him 10 meters away. The constable was seriously injured in the incident. According to the police, the deceased constable has been identified as Sandeep. According to the police, information was received from an informer that liquor smugglers were going from Nangloi area with a large consignment in a car. Based on this information, the police had blockaded many places. Meanwhile, the constable stationed at the checkpoint saw a suspicious car, he signaled the car driver to stop, but the car driver sped up.

In such a situation, the car driver hit the constable before he could try to defend himself. After this, he dragged the constable for about 10 meters at the same speed. After this the constable fell on the road. The car driver drove the car at full speed and fled from the spot leaving the car behind. The police said that the incident took place around 3 am on Saturday-Sunday night.
Police are busy identifying the accused
Police said that constable Sandeep was seriously injured in the incident. He was rushed to hospital, where he died during treatment. According to police officials, a case has been registered against the unidentified car driver in connection with the incident and a search has been launched for him. The footage of the CCTV cameras installed around the incident site is being examined to identify the accused.
