Five dead bodies were found in a field in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj.

The bodies of a 46-year-old man and his four daughters were found in a flat in Rangpuri in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj on Friday. All four daughters were disabled. A police officer said that prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide. The police are investigating the case. Sulphase tablets were found near the dead bodies. It is suspected that the deceased Heera Lal committed suicide by poisoning her daughters.

Neighbors said Heera Lal had been working as a carpenter at a nearby hospital for 28 years. They had four daughters, whose names are Neetu, Nikki, Neeru and Nidhi. All four people committed suicide by drinking poison. A police officer said Heera Lal lived in a rented flat on the third floor of a building in Rangpuri. Police recovered five bodies from the flat on Friday. An official says that no wounds or injury marks are visible on the body. However, no suicide note was found there.

The family told the police

Police reported the incident to Heera Lal’s brother Mohan Sharma and sister-in-law Gudiya Sharma. On getting the information, both of them reached his house. Gudia Sharma said that Hira Lal’s wife died of cancer last year. He was very shocked by the death of his wife. He used to talk to us less. His daughters were disabled and he was busy taking care of them.

All four daughters were graduates

According to Gudia Sharma, Hira Lal taught all four daughters. All four daughters were graduates. Gudia said that he had spoken to Hira Lal a few months back. During this, the marriage of daughters was also discussed. But Heera Lal avoided the matter by saying that the mother had passed away a few days ago and the daughters had to be given time to recover from this grief. According to neighbor Amarjeet Singh, Hira Lal’s younger daughter was sometimes seen outside the house. But the other three daughters did not go out of the house much. Hira Lal was often seen washing his daughters’ clothes.

Hira Lal was very religious

The neighbor said that Hira Lal was very religious. He used to worship every day. He had deep faith in Lord Hanuman. He was also fasting on Tuesdays. His family did not even eat garlic and onions. Heera Lal’s sister-in-law Gudiya Sharma said that all the four daughters were very sweet natured. All had completed graduation. Eldest daughter Neeru lost her eyesight in 2016. From January this year, Hira Lal stopped going to work to take care of her daughters.

Wife dies of cancer

Gudia said that Hira Lal’s wife Kanta Devi died of cancer last year. According to DCP Meena, locals called the police and informed that a foul smell was coming from a building in Rangpuri. The police reached on the information and recovered five bodies from the flat.
