It will be known today whether Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will remain in jail or he will get relief. The Supreme Court will give its verdict on Kejriwal’s bail application today. A bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Ujjal Bhuiyan will deliver the verdict. After cross-examination of both sides, the Supreme Court reserved the decision on September 5.
Kejriwal has filed two petitions in the Supreme Court. The first bail application and the second challenge the arrest and remand by the CBI. Kejriwal has been granted bail in the ED case while the case is related to CBI arrest and regular bail. Kejriwal was granted bail by the Supreme Court on July 12 in the ED case.
The CBI arrested Arvind Kejriwal from Tihar Jail on June 26 after he was granted interim bail in the ED case.
The Supreme Court reserved the decision
The Supreme Court reserved its decision on Kejriwal’s bail plea on September 5. A bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Ujjal Bhuiyan reserved its decision after hearing arguments from both sides.
