Atishi will soon become the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi. His swearing-in ceremony will take place at 4.30 pm. With this he will become the ninth Chief Minister of Delhi. Several leaders including Kejriwal, Sisodia and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will attend the swearing-in ceremony. Along with Atishi, five Aam Aadmi Party MLAs will also take oath as ministers.
Atishi has been MLA three times from Kalkaji seat. Arvind Kejriwal announced the name of Atishi for the post of Chief Minister. Following this, a meeting of the Aam Aadmi Party’s legislative caucus was held, in which all MLAs approved Atishi’s name. Atishi will be the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi after Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dixit.
Among the MLAs who will be sworn in as ministers along with Atishi are Gopal Rai, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Kailash Gehlot, Imran Hussain and Mukesh Ahlawat. Four of these people have been ministers while Mukesh Ahlawat has been appointed to Atishi’s cabinet for the first time. Ahlawat replaces Aam Aadmi Party MLA Rajkumar Anand in the cabinet.
