According to the police, during preliminary interrogation, 28-year-old accused Mata Shivani said that she was discharged from the hospital last night and had come to her maternal uncle’s house. Around 2 to 2:30 am, she fed the baby and when she woke up at 4:30 am, the baby was not there. Teams were formed to check the surrounding CCTV and surrounding houses and areas.

When the woman was found and questioned, she broke down and confessed her crime. Shivani said during the preliminary inquiry that this was her fourth child, two of whom had already died. Due to this he was facing social ridicule. She was thinking about this while breastfeeding the baby due to which she strangled the baby and then threw it on the side terrace but then she couldn’t sleep and what to tell the family members? So he told them that the child was missing. A case of murder has been registered against the woman, but the police have sent her body for post-mortem to verify her statement and find out the cause of death.
