A 13-year-old minor died in a tragic accident in Delhi on Saturday, July 10. According to the police, the accident took place in Ranhola area of ​​the capital Delhi, where a boy was killed after being electrocuted in a cricket ground. It is being told that the youth was playing cricket when he came in contact with an electric pole due to which he got electrocuted and died.

According to information, the deceased minor was playing cricket in the ground of Kotla Vihar Phase-2. Meanwhile, when he went to fetch the ball, he came in contact with an iron electric pole, which electrocuted him. This incident created a commotion. The minor was immediately rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in a PCR van where doctors declared him brought dead.

The police are investigating the case

Giving information on the matter, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Jimmy Chiram said that at around 1.27 pm on Saturday, a PCR call was received at the Ranhola police station, in which information was given about the death of a boy due to electrocution. Shockingly, it is being said that a minor boy playing cricket in Kotla Vihar Phase-II went to fetch the ball from the corner of the ground, in the course of which he came in contact with an electric pole installed there due to which he got electrocuted and died. Electricity has been supplied to the cowshed built there through this pole. The police have registered an FIR in the matter under Section 106(1) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS) and have started an investigation into the matter.

Following this incident, the family of the deceased is in mourning. Neeta Devi, mother of the deceased, said that the deceased was a seventh standard student. On Saturday he went to play cricket with his friends. During this time, he went to the cow shed to fetch a ball and after hitting a pole, he was electrocuted, which killed him. He has demanded strict action against the cowshed and electricity department. He says that many children come to the ground to play cricket, so such a tragedy can happen to someone else.

BJP accused the power companies of negligence

BJP’s Delhi unit president Virendra Sachdeva expressed grief over the death of the minor and demanded an inquiry into the matter. Along with this, he also said that a child has died due to the negligence of electricity companies in Delhi.
