Governor of West Bengal CV Anand Bose.

West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose expressed concern over the law and order situation in Bengal. In a video message from Delhi, he questioned the role of the Chief Minister and the police regarding the law and order situation in the state. In a video message, the Governor said that there is bloodshed in the streets of Bengal. The dance of death is going on in the villages of Bengal.

Are there any police here? Isn’t it their duty to stop this unrest? The governor said that hell is empty, all devils have come here. Even the forest is better than this. No animal in the wild kills anyone just for the thrill of it. Here people are killing just for the thrill. This can’t work. The government should be held responsible for this.

The Trinamool leader hit back

Trinamool leader Shantanu Sen also reacted strongly to Governor CV Anand Bose’s remarks. When the governor questioned the role of the police, Shantanu Sen retorted and said, “By what right did you insult the Bengal Chief Minister and the police for promoting the BJP?” You have to answer this to the people of Bengal.

It may be noted that the recent incidents in Mathabhanga in Cooch Behar and Chopra in North Dinajpur have created a stir in the entire state. The impact of that incident has reached Delhi politics. Governor Bose is currently in Delhi.

The Governor will meet the victim couple today

West Bengal Governor Bose has sought a report from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on the public beating of a couple and will visit Chopra in North Dinajpur district today where Bose is currently in New Delhi. He alleged that the state administration was trying to stop Chopra from visiting him. A Raj Bhavan official said that the governor may return from there and go to Delhi to submit a report on the incident to the central government.

Illegal court-ordered public beatings

The police registered a case on Sunday following public outrage after the video of the incident which took place on Friday went viral on social media. The man seen beating the couple with a bamboo stick in the video has been identified as Tajmul alias JCB. It is claimed that he is a local leader of Trinamool Congress. He has been arrested. According to the police, the victim boy and girl were allegedly in an illicit relationship due to which they were beaten up in public on the directions of a kangaroo court.
