Last Tuesday, a tragic accident took place near Samanna on the Damoh-Katni state highway in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh. Nine people died tragically in a collision between a truck and an auto rickshaw. All these people were cremated together today. In this tragic accident, seven people died on the spot, while three seriously injured were referred to Jabalpur. When a woman died late at night, an innocent child also died this morning.
Out of 10 people traveling in the auto in the accident, only one woman is now fighting a life-and-death battle at Jabalpur Medical College, while nine people have lost their lives. On Wednesday afternoon, when eight beers were taken from one house and one beer from one house, everyone present at the scene had tears in their eyes. People were shocked when nine funeral processions passed through the city’s Shobhanagar to Jatashankar Mukti Dham route one after the other.

Four men, three women and two children were cremated in a somber atmosphere. Representatives of Damoh’s district and police administration also participated in this final yatra and expressed their condolences. Collector Sudhir Kochhar said that the administration is fully prepared to help the family and there will be no trouble anywhere. While SP Shrut Kirti Somvanshi said that the preliminary investigation of the accident revealed that the driver was in a state of intoxication. Even before this accident he had returned from killing a cow at a short distance.
