While sharing a video regarding the incident, the former deputy chief minister wrote on social media platform ‘X’ that crime is on the rise in Bihar under the protection of power. Criminals get away with shooting whenever they want, anywhere. He said that the RJD leaders are unaware of the growing rampant crime. Bihar is not at all capable of handling a busy, busy and distressed Chief Minister here and there.
According to a statement issued by the Patna District Police, at around 6.15 am on Monday, Munna Sharma was shot dead by some unidentified armed assailants near a restaurant in Chowk Police Station area of ​​Patna city. After the incident, the attackers fled on a motorcycle. According to the police, the injured Sharma was taken by his family members to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police are examining CCTV footage of the incident site and surrounding areas to trace the attackers.
