Nana Patole reached to see the cracks on Atal Bridge.
Barely 6 months after the Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link i.e. Atal Setu was inaugurated, cracks appeared in the bridge. Now politics has started over this. Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole visited Atal Bridge on Friday and accused the government of corruption. He said that this government says that we are working for the public, money comes by taking loans from banks. Many properties are mortgaged to him. Corruption is the motive behind it, not development. They have to fill their houses and have nothing to do with people’s lives and property. This is a small proof of corruption.
Atal Setu, which started exactly 6 months ago, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Patole says we make allegations, but today we have shown it live. The road work was completed barely 2 months ago. The road has slipped a foot. It has cracks upto 1 km.
What did Atal Setu project head Kailash Ganatra say?
Atal Setu Project Head Kailash Ganatra has clarified the allegations of Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole. He denied all the allegations. Project Head Kailash Gantra said that the soil settles in the first rain. These are small cracks. The work of filling these cracks has been started. Due to which no problem has arisen in traffic. Normal traffic continues. The general public is not allowed to face any problem.

Cleaning of bridge construction company
Considering the severity of the crack on Atal Setu, clarification was given by MMRDA. The project head of Atal Setu has clarified that the cracks are on the connected road and not on the bridge, the cracks are on the Ulway (Navi Mumbai) side, which is being filled. Actually the politics of accusation-counter-accusation is one sided, but if the project is started in this way, it is serious that the road will be cracked within a few months. Today, thousands of vehicles use this road for movement, in such a situation, the cracks that appeared just a few months after the bridge was built certainly raise questions.
A 16.5 km bridge has been built over the sea
The bridge is about 21.8 km long and has 6 lanes. It is 16.5 kilometers long built on the sea and about 5.5 kilometers long on land. This is the longest bridge in the country. It connects Mumbai International Airport and Navi Mumbai International Airport. This has also reduced travel time from Mumbai to Pune, Goa and South India.
