Activists of two parties in Maharashtra, Uddhav Group’s Shiv Sena and Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena are facing each other, being attacked with betel nuts from one side and responding with cow dung and coconuts from the other. In fact, the convoy of former CM Uddhav Thackeray was attacked in Maharashtra’s Thane area on Saturday.
Workers of Raj Thackeray’s party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena threw cow dung, coconuts, tomatoes and bangles at the former chief minister’s convoy. The attack took place when Uddhav Thackeray had arrived at Gadkari Rangayatan to address his party workers. Dung was thrown on the vehicle in which Uddhav was traveling.
When did the attack take place?
Uddhav Thackeray came to address the party workers, as he reached the venue, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena party workers attacked the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, after which the police reached the spot and detained several demonstrators. In this attack, 16 to 17 of their vehicles were pelted with coconuts.

Why the attack?
This was a retaliatory attack on Uddhav Thackeray’s convoy, in fact, recently Shiv Sena workers of the Uddhav group threw tomatoes and betel nuts at Raj Thackeray’s convoy in Beed, in response to which Maharashtra Navnirman Sena workers threw tomatoes and betel nuts at Raj Thackeray. They retaliated by throwing cow dung and coconuts and bangles at the caravan.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Avinash Jadhav said, yesterday you all saw how Shiv Sena activists of Uddhav faction attacked Raj Thackeray’s convoy. He said that our Maharashtra Navnirman Sena workers gave him an answer today. They threw betel nuts at us and we threw coconuts at them. He also threatened the Shiv Sena party and said that this time we reached Gadkari Hall, next time we will reach your house.
