Sapna Chaudhary accused of cheating
Haryanvi dancer and singer Sapna Chaudhary is always a part of the headlines for one reason or another. But this time Sapna Chaudhary has got into legal trouble. Singer’s troubles seem to be increasing. The threat of arrest is seen hanging over Sapna. In fact, Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Sapna Chaudhary in a high-profile fraud case.
Actually Sapna had to appear in court. But it did not come on the given date. Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court Chief Judicial Magistrate Rashmi Gupta on Tuesday issued a non-bailable warrant for Sapna Chaudhary’s non-appearance in court. Expressing displeasure in the matter, the court said that the accused (Sapna Chaudhary) had sought exemption from appearing in the last hearing. Even on Tuesday, the dreams did not appear. Despite calling Sapna, he did not appear in court.

Now the court will hold the next hearing in this case on October 25. The court in its order said that a non-bailable warrant i.e. NBW is issued against the accused till the next hearing. If we talk about the whole matter, a person named Pawan Chawla had lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police that Sapna Chaudhary had cheated him of money. Delhi Police registered an FIR in 2021 on Pawan’s complaint. Sapna Chaudhary is accused of taking money from Pawan on the pretext of business, but she and her family used the money for other purposes.
In this case, Economic Offenses Wing or EOW of Delhi Police has filed a charge sheet against Sapna Chaudhary. On May 28, 2024, the court took cognizance of the offense under Section 420 and Section 406 of the IPC. But Sapna Chaudhary did not appear in the court despite sending the summons.
