After the wedding, the bride and groom reached the beautiful valleys of Kashmir for their honeymoon. But seeing the groom’s mobile, the bride got so upset that ‘tu-tu-men-men’ started between the two. It is alleged that the bridegroom beat the bride. However, somehow the two related to each other. After this, when he returned home, his in-laws tortured the bride so much that now their marriage is on the verge of breaking up.
The case is from Jwalapur in Haridwar. A girl living here reached the police station on Tuesday. Tearfully, she narrated her ordeal to a police officer. Said- Sir, I got married to Ankur Banga, a resident of Ambala (Haryana) in December 2023. It was an arranged marriage. I was very happy after marriage. I thought that now my husband’s house is my family. We went to Kashmir on honeymoon.
A married woman said – During the honeymoon, my husband often used to talk to someone on the mobile phone. When I asked, he always said he was talking to friends. At first I believed it to be true. But day or night, he stayed on his mobile. Then one day when he went to the bathroom I saw his mobile. Seeing the mobile, I lost my senses. My husband was chatting with a girl. Both sent very strange messages to each other. Talked on the phone several times. From that I understood that my husband had an affair with this girl.

The girl said- I asked my husband about this as soon as he came out of the bathroom. Then my husband started beating me. The wedding took place recently. So I forgave him to save the relationship. When we returned home, my husband’s behavior did not stop there either. I caught him red-handed talking to the same girl again. When I protested this, my in-laws started torturing me. One day my husband along with my mother-in-law and father-in-law beat me up and threw me out of the house. He was also demanding dowry from me. After this my parents brought me home with them.
Demanded dowry
The victim said- Sir, since then I am staying at my uncle’s house. I thought everything would be fine after some time. But I neither received any call from my in-laws nor did they come to pick me up. When I called them, they demanded dowry from me.
The police have registered a case based on the complaint of the victim and are conducting further investigation. SSI Rajesh Bisht said – A case has been registered on behalf of a married woman. Husbands and in-laws will be interrogated. Action will be taken if the allegations are proved to be true.
