As soon as the results of the Lok Sabha elections came, Congress has staked claim on the assembly seats. Congress has emerged as the biggest party in the Lok Sabha elections and Maha Vikas Aghadi in Maharashtra. Thackeray’s Shiv Sena contested 23 seats and won 9 of them. The strike rate was 39 percent. Congress contested 15 seats and won 13 of them, that is, the strike rate is 86 percent. Along with this, Sharad Pawar’s NCP contested 10 seats and won 8 of them, so the strike rate is 80 percent.
