During the uproar, Phoolo Devi’s health deteriorated. After this, fellow MPs took care of Phoolo Devi. After this, she was immediately admitted to the hospital. Phulo Devi Netam hails from Kondagaon in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh. She is a Rajya Sabha MP from Congress. She is also the President of Chhattisgarh Mahila Congress. On 14 September 2020, she was elected to the Rajya Sabha as a Congress member from Chhattisgarh.

In August last year, the Rajya Sabha Privileges Committee had accused 12 opposition MPs, including Phool Devi Netam, of misbehaving and disrupting the proceedings of the House. On Thursday, these members were warned against such behavior in future. The Privileges Committee submitted its report in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. The committee said in the report that AAP leaders Sanjay Singh, Shaktisinh Gohil, Sushil Kumar Gupta, Sandeep Kumar Pathak, Syed Nasir Hussain, Phool Devi Netam, JB Mather Hisham, Ranjit Ranjan and Imran Pratapgarhi should be prevented from engaging in such misconduct in future.
