What is in the Congress manifesto in Haryana?
According to Congress sources, the manifesto prepared for Haryana, like the Lok Sabha, has a special focus on 5 communities (youth, women, farmers, dalits/tribals and labourers). Different advertisement is prepared for each community.
Congress has prepared 6 major issues regarding the election in its manifesto. These include women’s dignity assistance, gas cylinder for 500 rupees for each family, pension of 6000 rupees to the elderly, 300 units of free electricity, 2 lakh government jobs and loan waiver of farmers.
According to sources, the amount of Mahila Samman Rashi has not been decided yet. A decision in this regard will be taken after a meeting of the high command of the Congress and the state unit. A section of the Congress is in favor of giving Rs 2,000 per month to every woman in Haryana under this scheme.
Congress wants to unite the youth, farmers, women and people of the downtrodden society with this manifesto. To help OBCs and Dalits, the Congress will also announce caste census and stipends for education to children of the respective communities in the manifesto.
Dalits constitute about 20 percent of Haryana and 17 seats in the assembly have been reserved for this community. Congress will carry forward the promises of this manifesto as a guarantee. The entire election campaign of the Congress after the declaration of the election manifesto is based on this.
Opinion polling has been done among 20 lakh people of Haryana.
Congress polled around 20 lakh people in Haryana to prepare the manifesto. Collecting feedback for the manifesto has been done by work organizations and private agencies. The party has conducted this opinion survey after reaching every district and every division.
This time, the Congress has entrusted the responsibility of preparing the manifesto to a committee headed by Geeta Bhukkal. Former deputy CM of Chhattisgarh TS Singhdev and Congress spokesperson Amitabh Dubey are the coordinators of this committee.
