Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal and Akhilesh Yadav,
Congress and Aam Aadmi Party may jointly contest assembly elections in Haryana. Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi has sought feedback on the alliance from Haryana leaders at the party’s central election committee meeting on Monday. Aam Aadmi Party also seems to be agreeable after receiving the hint of alliance from Rahul. In such a situation, if the Congress forms an alliance with Arvind Kejriwal’s party in Haryana, how will it balance with the SP, as party chief Akhilesh Yadav is also trying with full force to give his party a national identity.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party jointly contested in Haryana, Gujarat, Goa, Delhi and Chandigarh. In Haryana, the Aam Aadmi Party contested one seat in Kurukshetra, but did not win. The alliance between Aam Aadmi Party and Congress was broken. After this, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the Aam Aadmi Party will contest all 90 seats in Haryana with its own strength, while Haryana Congress leaders also said not to form an alliance with anyone. But now Rahul Gandhi has sought opinion from his leaders for another alliance in Haryana.
Response from Haryana leaders
Considering the political mood in Haryana, Rahul Gandhi has sought feedback from Haryana leaders for an alliance at the Central Election Committee meeting on Monday. Rahul asked his leaders if contesting alone would do any harm. Is there any chance of an alliance? On this of Rahul, Bhupendra Singh Hooda said that Aam Aadmi Party is asking for many seats. He said that three to four seats can be given, but their desire is big, so forming a coalition is difficult. On this Rahul Gandhi said that even then the votes of the Bharat Alliance should not be divided, we all should make such an effort together, you all see what is possible.

Aam Aadmi Party also agrees
Aam Aadmi Party also seems to agree after Rahul Gandhi hinted at an alliance. AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that I welcome Rahul Gandhi’s statement, defeating BJP is our priority. Haryana in-charge will take the final decision on this, the people who look after the organization will decide. At the same time, Delhi government minister Atishi and Haryana state president Sushil Gupta have left the decision of an alliance with the Congress to the high command. He said that Arvind Kejriwal will decide. However, Aam Aadmi Party leaders have not ruled out an alliance with the Congress. In such a situation, one thing is clear that there can be an alliance between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party once again.
SP also has to be adjusted
If the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party fight the assembly elections together in Haryana, then the SP will also have a challenge to adjust. SP is making full preparations to contest elections in Haryana. The SP state unit of Haryana has planned to contest elections on 17 seats. SP state president Surendra Bhati has sent details of 17 seats to Akhilesh Yadav. The SP has made a strategy of contesting the Yadav and Muslim dominated seats in Haryana, especially the seats in Bridge and Mewat regions of Haryana.
This condition was put before the Congress
SP president Akhilesh Yadav is trying to contest elections with Congress in Haryana. For this, the Congress is talking to the top leadership about the meetings. For this, SP has also made a condition that it will give seats to Congress in UP by-elections only if Congress gives some seats in Haryana as well. The SP’s deal with the Congress is yet to be finalised, but the SP’s hopes have risen after the doors of the alliance opened for the Aam Aadmi Party.
Connection formula
SP leaders clearly say that if SP is weak in Haryana, Congress is not strong in Uttar Pradesh either. So if Congress wants seats in UP, give seats in Haryana and Maharashtra. In Jammu and Kashmir, SP has started the mission of contesting elections on its own. He has a similar plan in Haryana too. In such a situation, a challenge has arisen before the Congress leadership to strike a balance with the SP. If Rahul Gandhi forms an alliance with Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party in Haryana, the pressure for friendship with the SP will also increase. In such a situation, the challenge for Congress to maintain a balance with Akhilesh will increase. It remains to be seen how the Congress will find the formula for the coalition.
