This time the BJP’s performance in the Lok Sabha elections has not been better than the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Out of 80 seats, the party got 33 seats. After which UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is holding continuous meetings these days regarding the defeat of the party. BJP’s poor performance is discussed in the meeting of MLAs and MPs. In a way, consider it a review meeting. People’s representatives of one or the other department meet every day at CM Yogi’s house.

A meeting of Lucknow Mandal was held at Yogi Adityanath’s house on Wednesday. In which the leaders of Lok Sabha regions like Lucknow, Sitapur, Hardoi, Unnao were called. In this meeting, there was a long discussion about BJP’s bad results. So far seven divisions of UP have met.

Debate on the cause of defeat

This time BJP has lost three out of four Lok Sabha seats in Jhansi division. Banda, Hamirpur and Jalaun went to the Samajwadi Party. While BJP’s hold on Jhansi seat is intact. Also, BJP did not expect such a bad result in Bundelkhand. Meanwhile, a meeting was held recently. When the meeting began, CM Yogi Adityanath asked the MPs and MLAs why we lost the election, to which MLA Rashmi Arya replied, “Officials are not even listening to us.” Corruption has increased. No work is done without payment in police station and taluk.

Meanwhile, MLA Rashmi Arya was speaking when CM Yogi stopped her. Yogi Adityanath said, Do you have any evidence or proof of these things of yours? If there is a complaint against an officer or employee, give evidence. We will take strict action against him. It is not right to say so without evidence. As soon as Yogi Adityanath spoke like this, the meeting fell silent. Everyone started looking at each other. Rashmi Arya, MLA of her party, also remained silent. BJP’s ally Apna Dal has 13 MLAs in UP.

The leaders expressed their opinion

Then Yogi Adityanath started the discussion, he said, what happened this time that less votes were received. The number of leaders equals the number of objects. Someone said that there is resentment among the people against the candidate of the party. Had the ticket been changed, the result might have been different. One person said that even if the candidates had swapped seats, they could have won one or two seats. A MLA said that we could not fight the election properly. From publicity to booth management, everything went wrong. A leader said that a message has been sent to backward classes and Dalits that reservation is going to end. Yogi Adityanath kept listening to everyone silently.

CM Yogi explained the reason for the defeat

In the meeting, one by one, all the MLAs expressed their views. When everyone spoke, finally it was Yogi Adityanath’s turn, everyone’s faces were blown away by what he had to say. He said that our party leaders and people’s representatives have been cut off from the ground. He is alienated from the masses, that is why we faced this situation in the elections.

‘We will win the assembly elections’

CM Yogi said that the leaders who remained among the people were successful in winning the elections. He also asked all the leaders present in the meeting to deliver the work of the government to every family. CM Yogi told the leaders to keep doing their work and its promotion is also important. If you keep doing this, we will win assembly elections again.
