Union Home Minister Amit Shah also went to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s house.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s two-day Maharashtra tour ended today. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar met at Mumbai airport on Monday while returning from Mumbai. Earlier, Shah had also reached many Ganesh pandals in Mumbai and offered darshan and worship.
There is no official information yet on what was discussed in the meeting between the CM-Deputy CM and Shah, but according to sources, Shah has assured both BJP allies that there will be an honorable distribution of seats in the assembly elections.
Also met the core committee members
Shinde heads the Shiv Sena, while Ajit Pawar heads the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and both are allies of the BJP in the ruling Mahayuti alliance. During his visit to Mumbai, Shah also met the core committee members of the BJP’s state unit at the state government’s Sahyadri Guest House in South Mumbai.
Shah also reached Mumbai’s famous Lalbagh Raja Ganesh Pandal and had darshan and offered prayers to Lord Ganesha. Meanwhile, Shah was accompanied by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde. Shah also later visited the Bandra West Ganesh pandal, which is associated with BJP’s Mumbai unit president Ashish Shelar.
Ganesha reached the pandals and had darshan
Earlier in the morning, Shah visited the official residences of Chief Ministers Shinde and Fadnavis and visited the Ganesha idols installed at their homes. On Sunday night too, he met Chief Minister Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar.
Assembly elections are to be held in Maharashtra in October-November. In such a situation, this visit of Amit Shah is being considered very important from a political point of view. At present Mahayuti is the government in Maharashtra. It includes Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s NCP along with the BJP. The government is headed by Eknath Shinde.
Elected as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Official Language Committee
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has once again been unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Parliamentary State Language Committee. A committee meeting was held in Delhi today to reconstitute the Parliamentary Language Committee after the formation of the new government in the country. In this meeting, Amit Shah was selected as the chairman of the committee. Earlier also Amit Shah was the chairman of the committee from 2019 to 2024.
