Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has taken strict action over an old video of a fight going viral on social media. Chief Minister Yadav instructed DIG Railways to investigate the entire matter. Six policemen, including the then station in-charge of GRP police station Katni, have been suspended after the investigation. Also Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has instructed the police officers to ensure that such malpractices are not repeated in the state in future.

The officers who were found guilty in the preliminary investigation include the then police station in-charge Aruna Vahne, head constable Ajay Srivastava, four other constables Varsha Dubey, Omkar Sirsam, Soheb Abbasi and Salman Khan. All these have been suspended with immediate effect. According to the information, the DIG Railways was instructed to investigate the matter of assault on an elderly woman and a child by the policemen of GRP Katni police station.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has also shared a post on social media platform Form X regarding this action. He wrote that a viral video has come to my notice in which GRP officers and employees of Katni police station are being beaten up. However, that video was old. As soon as it came to my attention, I instructed DIG Rail to investigate this morning.

After which action was taken against the accused on the basis of preliminary investigation. Also, senior police officers have been told in strict terms to keep a close watch on such incidents so that nothing like this happens in future.
