CM Bhagwant Mann paying tribute to the martyr in Isru village
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan gifted the library to the students on the occasion of Independence Day on August 15. CM Mann inaugurated a library in memory of Martyr Karnail Singh Isru at Isru village of Khanna Assembly. On this occasion, Bhagwant Ma as the chief guest said that a library for children has been inaugurated today on the occasion of 15th August Independence Day. He said that earlier he had gone to Jalandhar and hoisted the flag there.
While inaugurating the library, Chief Minister Bhagwant Ma said that the village belonged to freedom hero Martyr Master Karnail Singh Isru, who contributed immensely to Goa’s independence. Many modern facilities will be available in this library. It will benefit the children.
A library is being built in every assembly constituency
On the direction of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, 6 libraries are being built in each assembly constituency, under this, libraries are being built in total 42 villages of Ludhiana district. 14 libraries have been inaugurated on 15 August 2024.
CM Mann said his aim is to improve education and health. CM Mann said that there is a rush for admission of children in government schools. Starting a library today will benefit children a lot. Many times the environment at home is not conducive, in such situations it proves to be very beneficial for children.
The library has facilities like furniture, about 900 books, 4 kilowatt solar power plant, CCTV cameras, two computers, two ACs, a water dispenser and electricity inverter etc. as per requirement.
Statement given regarding Vinesh Phogat
Chief Minister Mann expressed regret over the incident that happened with Vinesh Phogat at the Paris Olympics. He said that his coach and dietician should pay attention to Vinesh’s weight. She said that she would not have been so sad if she had lost the competition but it was very sad to be eliminated like this.
Regarding panchayat elections, he also said that preparations are underway for panchayat elections, in which 50 percent seats are reserved for women. The Panchayati Raj Act should be amended so that the Panchayat elections are not fought on the lines of elections.
