An incident of stone pelting on the Vande Bharat train has come to light in Mahasamund of Chhattisgarh. The windows of three coaches of the train were broken in the stone pelting incident. Railway Police has arrested five accused who pelted stones on Vande Bharat train. This Vande Bharat train is the second train running in the state. On September 16, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the train through virtual means.

The incident of stone pelting on Vande Bharat train took place near Bagbahra railway station. This train will run between Durg and Visakhapatnam. He was tested on Friday morning. The Vande Bharat train left Mahasamund at 7.10 am. While returning at around 9 pm, some anti-social elements pelted stones at Bagbahra Pass itself during his hearing. Action is being taken against the arrested accused under the Railway Act.

Stone pelting on Vande Bharat train

Vande Bharat train was run for trial on Friday. The train went to Visakhapatnam via Mahasamund, Bagbahra. While returning, the train was passing Bagbahra station at around 9 pm, when some people pelted stones on the Vande Bharat train, causing cracks in the glass panes of coaches C2-10, C4-1, C9-78. Suddenly, stones were pelted on the train, creating an atmosphere of fear among the staff present in it. This information was immediately given to the railway officials.

Five stone pelters arrested

As soon as the information about the incident was received, the RPF police reached the spot. Five stone pelters who pelted stones at the train were arrested in a raid in this area. The accused were identified as Shiv Kumar Baghel, Devendra Chandrakar, Jitu Tandi, Lekhraj Sonwani and Arjun Yadav. All these are residents of Bagbahra. A case has been registered against him under Railway Act 1989. All the accused will be produced in the Raipur Railway Court on Saturday.
