Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently asked Chief Minister Sai to stop such activities during his stay in Chhattisgarh. The main leader of the team of ganja smugglers is Bhagwat Sahu, who has been in the business of buying and selling illegal ganja for a long time, initially he used to buy 4-5 kg ​​of ganja from a small supplier in Orissa and sell it in Chhattisgarh, later he got in touch with a big ganja supplier, Vyoma alias Vyomkesh. He used to come and buy ganja and transfer it to his vehicle at a secluded place. His team initially seized 15-20 kg of ganja to and from the house of the accused and kept it separately and then started supplying 1 quintal-2 quintal of ganja as per demand. Santram and Bhagwat, after buying ganja from the Odisha party, would come halfway with their accomplices while clearing the road, so that they would not be caught, then further their other associates would take the ganja, hiding it in their secret hideout. and sell it. The gang used to sell ganja through transportation in Chhattisgarh and many other states. Bhagwat has been involved in the illegal business of ganja for a long time which has not been caught by the police till date.
On August 28, after 05 accused of the gang were nabbed in Jutmil in Raigad district, all the others went on alert, switched off their mobile phones to avoid arrest and their entire channel went out of touch. The accused have been caught in all-round raids conducted by the Raigad Police at different places.
