Chhapra: Case settled in 48 days under ‘BNS’, killed by one-sided love; The accused was found guilty

Bihar Police has created a new record. For the first time in the entire country, the Bihar Police has succeeded in successfully closing a case under the Indian Penal Code (BNS). On the 48th day of the incident, the court declared the accused guilty. The case is from Chhapra district. Chapra SP Ashish Kumar said that on July 17 this year, two minor girls were killed along with their father in Dhanadih village under Rasulpur police station area. All of them were brutally stabbed to death.

SP Ashish Kumar said that the police took immediate action in this case and nabbed the accused within an hour. The police team thoroughly investigated the entire matter. Under the new Indian Penal Code (BNS) law, there must be photos, videos and forensic evidence of the incident. The police conducted the test with the help of forensic experts. A DNA test was also done. Police also found incriminating evidence. The knife was recovered at the behest of the boy who committed the murder. Blood was also found on the boy’s jeans and pants, which he had burned.

SP Ashish Kumar said that the hand of the accused was also injured during the stabbing. Apart from this, blood splatters were also seen on the hands and feet of the accused. When the DNA of the accused was matched with these people, the match was made. The police completed the entire process and filed the chargesheet within 14 days on July 31. There is also a record of the police filing charge sheets in serious cases within 14 days.

After this, the police requested the district judge that the case be tried expeditiously. On which the District Judge also agreed and the hearing of this entire case started from 13th August. On the 48th day on Tuesday, the accused was declared guilty. Now the sentence will be announced on September 5.

The hearing of this case lasted for 22 days

SP Ashish Kumar said that the sentence was announced on the 22nd day after the court hearing began. Across the country, there is no punishment for crimes as serious as murder under the Indian Penal Code (BNS). The local police worked diligently throughout the process. The SP said that when the murder took place, I had said that the accused would be punished soon by conducting a speedy trial.
