Fraudsters gave fake notes to cheat gold

A shocking case of fraud by a jewelery businessman has come to light in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad. Here the fraudsters made a deal of 2100 grams of gold with the manager of the jewellers. The deal was done for Rs 1.60 crore. Under this deal, the fraudsters paid an amount of Rs 1 crore 30 lakh to the businessman. It was decided to pay the remaining 30 lakh rupees after delivery. After this the fraudsters left.

Here, the merchant’s manager prepared the goods for delivery. As he was about to go for the delivery, the jeweler looked carefully at the bundle of notes given by the fraudsters. These notes were sealed in wrappers. The wrapper had the seal of Start Bank of India instead of State Bank of India. The merchant was shocked to see this. He opened the wrapper and checked the notes. Bundles worth Rs 500 were kept inside. These notes were exactly like Rs.500 notes. The only difference was that the notes had Anupam Kher’s photo instead of Gandhi.

There was no doubt during the deal

Seeing this, the businessman stopped the manager from delivering the goods and reported the matter to the police. The case is from Manek Chowk in Ahmedabad. The police have registered a case on the complaint of jeweler Mehul and Prashant Patel, manager of Laxmi Jewellers. Jeweler Mehul, in his complaint to the police, said that the fraudsters arranged the deal in a very polite manner. Before this he had no doubts. Due to which he also asked to pack the goods as per the deal and send them to the Angadiya firm mentioned by the accused.

The office was opened for fraud

But, dealing with such a large consignment of gold, they checked the bundle given by the accused before delivering the goods from the showroom. In this the fraud was exposed. When the police reached the spot after the businessman informed, the accused ran away from there. Investigation revealed that the accused had opened a fake office in the name of Angadia firm on CG Road to cheat the gold dealer.
