Kedarnath-Gangotri Chardham Yatra.
Any alternate route being made for Kedarnath-Gangotri Chardham Yatra? There has been a lot of discussion regarding this question for some time now. Now the administration has put an end to this debate with its reply. Regarding the pilgrimage starting from Kumaon, the administration said that devotees will be able to perform their pilgrimage as before. No alternative route is prepared. The Yatra will continue on the same route from which the devotees started the Yatra earlier. There are currently no plans for a new route.
For several days, there was a lot of discussion about the option of creating a new route for the Kedarnath-Gangotri Chardham Yatra. However, now Nainital DM Vandana Singh has clarified his stand on behalf of the administration in this whole matter. DM Vandana Singh said that the discussion on social media and other platforms about making Ramnagar Yatra an alternative to Kedarnath-Gangotri Chardham Yatra is misleading and factless.
Survey for new road is wrong – DM
Further, DM Vandana Singh said that the news about alternative routes of Chardham Yatra published in newspapers a few days ago is false and misleading. The news has said that a survey is being conducted to create an alternative route via Ramnagar for the Kedarnath-Gangotri Chardham Yatra.
The convenience of the devotees will be taken care of
DM Vandana Singh made it clear that the survey for construction of alternate routes is aimed at providing better facilities to devotees coming for Chardham Yatra from Delhi and other cities via Ramnagar and Kumaon districts. These routes should not be like the traditional route of Chardham Yatra, but should be seen as other routes, so that devotees coming for Chardham Yatra can have convenient access from all the tourist spots.
