This time, allies are playing an important role in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government (Modi 3.0). One of them is Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu who met the Prime Minister a few days ago. Just five days after this meeting, the state has received a big gift.

Just days after meeting Prime Minister Modi, the central government accepted Andhra Pradesh’s demand to build an oil refinery and petrochemical hub in the state.

An investment worth Rs 60 billion will be received.

When Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he told him that the state had been promised an oil refinery under the Andhra Pradesh State Reorganisation Act. Now, just five days after the meeting, the state has received the gift of the petrochemical hub along with the refinery. This is expected to bring in an investment of Rs 60,000 crore in the state.

Bharat Petroleum to have a refinery

After meeting the Prime Minister, Chandrababu Naidu also recently met senior officials of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. There was a discussion between him and the officials on how beneficial it would be to set up a refinery in the state. Is this completely practical or not?

NORTH: Chandrababu Naidu says he has sought a feasibility report for the refinery project within 90 days. Around 5,000 acres of land will be required for this project. The government will try to ensure that no hurdles arise in this regard.

The factory can be installed in these three locations.

According to an ET report, names of three places are being discussed for setting up refinery and petrochemical projects in Andhra Pradesh. These names are Srikakulam, Machilipatnam and Ramayapatnam. Sources say that it will take at least 2 months to complete this process. The state government may announce the name of the place in the upcoming budget.
