The NIA and Crime Branch are busy investigating the hand grenade attack
A hand grenade attack in Kothi, Sector 10, Chandigarh has exposed the Khalistani connection. According to police sources, the attack was carried out by US and Pakistan-based Khalistani terrorists through their sleeper cell. In fact, the target of the Khalistanis was not only this Kothi but retired SP of Punjab, Harkeerat Singh. He lived in this house until a few years ago, but later he changed his residence.
Here the Khalistanis attacked their old home due to lack of proper information. While at this time a retired principal was living in this house with his family. According to police sources, IPS Harkeerat Singh lived in the house in Sector 10 of Chandigarh till a few years ago, where the hand grenade attack took place. Khalistan terrorists had been planning to assassinate IPS Harkeerat Singh for a long time and had attempted it once in the year 2023. However, his plan did not succeed at that time. It was after this that Harkirat Singh changed his residence.
Pachia and Rinda committed the crime
Along with this, he also tightened the security system. Based on the input received from the scene, the police suspect that the incident was carried out by US-based Khalistan terrorists Harpreet Singh alias Happy Pachia and Pakistan-based Harwinder Singh Rinda. They have two objectives behind this. One is to appease Pakistan’s spy agency ISI and the other is to take revenge from IPS Harkeerat Singh. Years ago, IPS Harkeerat Singh, serving as SP in Amritsar, tightened the grip of Khalistan terrorists. The situation reached such a stage that many supporters of Khalistan had to flee abroad.

ISI intervened
The Chandigarh police registered a case in 2023 for raiding and attempting to attack this house. In which the police wrote that Pachia tried to attack the former SP’s residence, but his plan failed. According to the police, Pachya and Rinda have joined hands with the mediation of the ISI. Now these two organizations are working on a plan to spread terror in India and especially in Pakistan. After this input, the crime branch teams of Chandigarh and Punjab have intensified the investigation. Teams of IB and NIA are also investigating the case with the help of Interpol.
