Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren has joined the BJP, but politics is still heated over him. Assam Chief Minister and Jharkhand BJP co-in-charge Himanta Biswa Sarma has made a big accusation against Champai Soren. He said that the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand was kept under surveillance by his own government for six months. Along with this, he also said that the ‘corrupt’ alliance led by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) would get a befitting reply after two months.
This allegation was made by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a program to induct Champai Soren into the BJP. Champai Soren resigned from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha on 28 August and joined the BJP. It is believed that Himanta Biswa Sarma was instrumental in bringing Champai Soren to the BJP. So, when Champai Soren came to Delhi for the second time, he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the presence of Himanta Biswa Sarma.
What is Himanta Biswa Sarma’s allegation?
The Assam Chief Minister said that the Jharkhand Police had kept Champai Soren under surveillance for six months. I have never heard of this happening to any Chief Minister. I warn you (Chief Minister Hemant Soren) that we will give you an agreement after two months. Assembly elections are to be held in Jharkhand this year. It is believed that the Election Commission may announce the dates in the next month or two.
‘JMM has not spared even a leader like Champai Soren’
Calling the present Jharkhand government corrupt, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that even a strong leader like Champai Soren, who was close to JMM chief Shibu Soren, was not spared. Currently, politics has heated up regarding the statement of the Chief Minister of Assam.
Earlier Assam CM had said that because of the situation created by the present government in Jharkhand everyone like Champai Soren who loves Jharkhand wants to bring BJP government. I understand the sentiments of the people of Jharkhand. Along with Champai Soren, the faith of the people of Jharkhand has also been broken.
