A cake was cut in the temple premises
A video celebrating a birthday by cutting a cake at the world famous Mahakal temple in Ujjai, Madhya Pradesh is fast going viral on social media. In this video, it can be seen that after cutting the cake, a girl is asking her friends not to put the cake on their mouths. After making this video, it was shared on social media. After which there has been an uproar in the temple premises regarding birthday celebrations and cake cutting. The temple priests are protesting the cutting of the cake. The priests said that this is not our culture. They are talking about taking action against the accused.
The viral video has revealed that the employees seen in the video belong to AR-VR, a Bhopal-based company near the protocol office. These employees perform bhasma aarti to the devotees who come to have darshan of Baba Mahakal. The birthday of a girl employee working in the same office was celebrated.
Pastors demand action
When Ganesh Dhakad, the administrator of the Mahakaleshwar temple was spoken to about this viral video, he said that this video has also come to his attention. The video is being investigated, whoever is found guilty will be dealt with as per rules. He said that it should be remembered that this is not the first case of cake cutting in Mahakaleshwar temple. Even before this, some devotees had cut the cake in Nandi Hall and the video of it also went viral.
Cases have come to light earlier too
According to the information received, a video of this type went viral about 6 years ago. At that time, on the instructions of the then Collector Manish Singh, a case was registered under Sections 107 and 116. He said that notice was also issued after the case was registered. Along with this, the accused were banned from entering the temple for about a month.
‘This is not our culture’
The priests of the temple are upset with the cake cutting by the employees in the Mahakaleshwar temple. Mahakaleshwar temple priest Pandit Mahesh Sharma and Pandit Dilip Upadhyaksha (Chammu Guru) have opposed this and said that this is not our culture. One can celebrate the birthday in another way by reaching the temple, but cutting the cake and making a video of it in this way is completely wrong. We condemn this and demand strict action from those responsible.
