CBSE CTET 2024 Exam Date Extended, Notification Also Changed

The Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE has extended the date of Central Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (CTET). Earlier the CTET exam was scheduled to be held on 1st December this year, which has now been postponed to 15th December. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. In the first shift, the exam will be conducted from 9:30 am to 12 noon, while in the second shift, the exam will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. This decision has been taken to extend the exam date due to administrative reasons. Candidates can check CTET 2024 revised date notification on CBSE official website ctet.nic.in.

CBSE’s revised notification also states that if a city has more candidates, the exam can be held on 14 December 2024 as well. The official notification reads, ‘Now due to administrative reasons, the CTET exam has been rescheduled to 15 December 2024 (Sunday). If there is more number of candidates in any city, the exam may also be held on 14 December 2024.

CBSE CTET 2024: When is the application last date?

Last date to submit CBSE CTET 2024 online application is 16th October. Meanwhile, it is also important for the candidates to note that the registration forms should be submitted before the last date of 11:59 PM.

  • First of all, go to CBSE CTET official website ctet.nic.in.
  • Then look for the ‘CTET December 2024’ link on the homepage and click on it.
  • Candidates have to register themselves first as soon as the new window opens.
  • After completing the registration process, login to the new account.
  • Then fill the application form and pay the required examination fee.
  • Finally crosscheck all the details and submit the form.
  • Don’t forget to download the confirmation page.

CBSE CTET 2024: How much is the application fee?

Examination Fee for Paper I or II for General or OBC candidates is Rs. 1,200 and for both Paper I and II Rs. 1,200, while the examination fee for SC/ST/PWD category candidates for Paper I or II is Rs. 500 and for both Paper I and II it is Rs. 600 is Fees can be paid online through Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking.
