The team’s wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has made a big revelation about what was discussed among the players in the dressing room while taking this decision.

The Rohit Sharma-led team declared their second innings immediately after lunch on the third day. Then Shubman Gill was playing with 119 runs and Pant was out with 109 runs. In fact, after lunch, Pant scored runs at a brisk pace. When asked after the match about scoring runs at a fast pace, he said he was told during lunch that he had only one hour to score maximum runs.

Revealing the dressing room conversation, Rishabh Pant said, ‘When we went for lunch, there was a discussion on announcing the innings. Rohit bhai clearly said that we will be given one hour to score maximum runs. After that I got the idea that I will make a fast run, who knows I can cross 150. Let us tell you that by lunch time on the third day, India had scored 205 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 51 overs. Then Pant was in the game on 82 runs and Shubman Gill on 86 runs. In such a situation, the captain gave both these players a chance to complete the century and then declared the second innings at a score of 287.

Team India has taken the lead in the series

In this match Bangladesh team won the toss and bowled first. In such a situation, Team India batted first and scored 376 runs. Meanwhile, R Ashwin contributed the most 113 runs and Ravindra Jadeja contributed 86 runs. After this, the bowler showed his skills and wrapped up Bangladesh’s first innings for 149 runs. Team India then declared their second innings at a score of 287 and set Bangladesh a target of 515 runs to win. But Bangladesh could score only 234 runs in the second innings and lost the match.
