Bus service between Delhi and Leh stopped
A bus service for commuters from Delhi to Leh was started by Himachal Road Transport in June, which has now been discontinued. It was launched on June 10, which after three months of making the journey of tourists easy and beautiful has now been closed due to bad weather. This was the Keylong depot on behalf of SRTC, catering to passengers on the Manali-Leh route. Tourists used to get many facilities through this facility.
SRTC has officially announced its closure. Commuters used to pay cheaper fares for their journey through the bus service, but now that it has stopped, they have to pay higher fares to travel by taxi. Due to the long travel time, it was convenient for them to travel by bus, but the long journey of around 30 hours would have to be completed with the help of a taxi.
When will this bus service resume?
This bus service which started on June 10 will now be seen again in the month of May-June next year. Passengers had to pay a total fare of Rs 1657 to travel between Delhi and Leh. Passengers used to complete 30 hours journey through this fare. However, heavy vehicles are still plying on this route, but HRTC has decided to close it. For this, the official of the transport department has said that in the near future it will start snowing in Baralachla, due to which bus travel will be difficult, so this bus service has been announced to stop.
