In an interview given to Radio Nasha, Mukesh Rishi said that he is a big fan of Dharmendra. He remembered his first meeting with Dharmendra. Mukesh said that once when Dharmendra reached the sets for shooting, he did not go to meet him. At that time Mukesh was memorizing his lines. After this, when Mukesh went to the sets, Dharmendra was also present there but still he did not meet him.

Mukesh told in conversation that at that time he did not even look at Dharmendra. Even without meeting her, he went straight to shoot his scene. But as soon as his shoot was over, he ran into Dharmendra. After this Mukesh fell at her feet. He said that he respects Dharmendra a lot. In such a situation, if he had seen through Dharmendra’s eyes, he might not have been able to complete his scene. Mukesh believed that if he had met Dharmendra at that time, his feelings would have changed and he would not have been able to give his shot properly. Mukesh gets emotional and says no one can teach respect to elders. According to him, you have to learn these things yourself.

In the interview, Mukesh also revealed that he kept Dharmendra’s photo in his cupboard. Along with this he said that Dharmendra is his favorite actor. Mukesh and Dharmendra have appeared together in many films. Both were seen together in ‘Nyadata’, ‘Jeo Shan Se’, ‘Hamla’ and ‘Iron Man’. ‘Hamla’ was the first film in which Mukesh and Dharmendra worked together.

Talking about his career, Mukesh said that he doesn’t think much about films, he did whatever work he got. Mukesh has also acted in many South films. He said, “I understood that I was getting work. Be it any language. I already knew that I would not get the lead role. He never thought that he would rest after doing just one film.

About South films, Mukesh said that it took time for people to understand that South films are also films. According to him, people often compare South and Bollywood films. South Indian films took longer to become popular.
