Meerut’s Sotiganj market was famous for illegal vehicle cutting. Stolen vehicles used to be cut in Sotiganj, but illegal cutting in Meerut’s Sotiganj market was stopped by former SSP Prabhakar Chaudhary during his tenure. After this, it was often heard from the surrounding district that now stolen vehicles are being cut off there.

However, it has now come to light that stolen vehicles were being scrapped illegally, just 300 meters away from Khurja police station in Bulandshahr district of Meerut zone, under the guise of scrapping permits. On which Meerut Zone ADG DK Thakur reacted strongly and expressed displeasure. ADG Meerut Zone DK Thakur has issued a letter to Bulandshahr SSP Shlok Kumar and ordered to submit the report of the entire case within 15 days.

Cutting just 300 meters from Police Station

ADG Meerut Zone DK Thakur is known for his honest image. The ADG received information that a stolen vehicle operation was underway just 300 meters away from Khurja Police Station in Bulandshahr. On this ADG organized a class of Bulandshahr Police. Issuing a letter to the SSP, ADG DK Thakur said, “It has come to my notice that vehicles are being cut illegally just 300 meters from police station Khurja Dehat.

Under the guise of scrapping permit, stolen vehicles were being scrapped and the vehicles were being scrapped without payment of challan. The warehouse has probably been sealed by the police and an FIR has been registered against everyone including the factory operator. It has been prima facie revealed that illegal cutting of stolen vehicles is taking place in this factory on a large scale.

Suspicion of police involvement was expressed

Meerut Zone ADG D.K. Thakur expressed apprehension to the Bulandshahr police and said that the illegal cutting of stolen vehicles just 300 meters away from the police station would either be taking place under the protection of the police station or would be taking place apparently. The inaction and gross negligence of the police station means that it has no knowledge of this illegal business and has not taken any action in this regard. It is clear that the ADG Meerut Zone suspects the involvement of the police station.

15 days time has been given

ADG Meerut zone DK Thakur asked the SSP of Bulandshahr to conduct an inquiry in this regard by an officer of the level of Additional Superintendent of Police. He said that after conducting a preliminary inquiry into the involvement and negligence of the officials and staff of the police station in this case of illegal dumping and determining the responsibility of the concerned officials and staff, the preliminary inquiry report with their specific comments or recommendations will be sent to the office of the Inspector General of Police, Meerut Zone within 15 days. do
