Bihar Public Service Commission i.e. BPSC has again increased the number of vacancies for 70th Civil Service Exam 2024. Now there will be recruitment of officers on total 2027 posts. This is the second time that the number of vacancies has been increased. Earlier it was being said that BPSC will be recruiting 1929 posts, then the number of vacancies was increased to 1957 and then 70 more posts were added so overall now the number of vacancies for BPSC 70th Civil Services Exam 2024 is official. Already 2027. Candidates can apply till 4 November.
Through this recruitment drive, officers will be recruited in many government departments of Bihar including Deputy Collector and DSP. At the same time, the departments in which the number of vacancies have increased include Probation Officer (Home Department, Jails), Assistant Registrar (Cooperative Societies and Equivalent, Cooperative Department) and Financial Administration Officer and Equivalent (Finance Department).
How much recruitment in administrative and police services?
BPSC will be recruiting for a total of 200 posts for the posts of Sub-Divisional Officer/Senior Deputy Collector in Bihar Administrative Service, while for a total of 136 posts for the posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police i.e. DSP in Bihar Police Service. . Apart from this, BPSC will recruit a total of 287 posts of Revenue Officer in Bihar Revenue Service, while a total of 393 posts of Rural Development Officer will be filled in Bihar Rural Development Service. At the same time, hundreds of posts of officers will be recruited for other services as well.

BPSC Civil Services Exam 2024: What is the Selection Process?
The selection process for BPSC 70th Civil Services will be conducted in three stages, first is prelims exam, second is mains exam and third is interview round. Only those candidates who clear the prelims will get a chance to appear in the mains and then those who clear the mains will be called for the interview. Merit list will be prepared by adding the marks of main examination and interview and based on that the officers will be selected for various services.
The number of vacancies for BPSC 70th Civil Services Exam 2024 has been increased again. Now in Bihar instead of 1957 government employees will be recruited for a total of 2027 posts. However, there is no increase in the number of posts for Bihar Administrative Service and Bihar Police Service.
