Shahrukh’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was the highest money maker. The songs of the film were also hits. Now, almost 26 years after the release of this film, the sequel of Soldier has been confirmed. Producer Ramesh Taurani has clarified that the film’s script is being worked on. He also reacted to the casting of Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta.
These days Ramesh Taura is in the limelight due to his recently released film Ishq Vishk Rebound. Meanwhile, he spoke to News18 Shosha and answered every question related to the making of Bobby Deol’s Soldier. He said, “Of course, we are making a sequel to Soldier. We will start shooting for the film next year.
Will it be Bobby Deol or not?
A sequel to Soldier is being made. The question on everyone’s mind is whether it will have Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta or not. But Ramesh Taurani did not give a clear answer to this. He says, “We can’t say anything about the cast right now. It depends on what form the story takes. We will decide if Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta will be part of it or not. The responsibility of writing the story of the film has been given to Shiraz Ahmed.
Preity Zinta’s debut film
Soldier is one of Bobby Deol’s most successful films. This film is also the debut film of Preity Zinta. In fact, Ramesh Taurani had earlier signed Preity Zinta in ‘Kya Kehna’ and started shooting for the film. Later, Preity was also cast in Soldier and this film was also released on the big screen for the first time.
