Kumari Selja, Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Manohar Lal Khattar

The entire politics of Haryana revolves around Congress leader Kumari Selja. Politics has heated up as Kumari Selja has kept her distance from the assembly election campaign, but she openly answered every question, including her displeasure. Selja has certainly rejected the BJP’s offers from the BSP, but by expressing his desire to become the CM, he has certainly raised the tension with Congress leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda. In this way Shelja stays in the political debate even while staying away from election campaign?

Sirsa MP Kumari Selja has been in complete silent mode since September 12. He is neither seen active in Congress election campaign nor is he active on social media. Responding to the question of displeasure of Congress and joining BJP in such a situation, Kumari Selja said in a news channel program, ‘There is no point of displeasure, but some things happen, this is an internal matter of the party, I will not leave Congress till I die. BJP is on the decline in Haryana and nationally, there is no question of going there.

What did Shelja say on his resentment towards Congress?

Kumari Selja said that if there is any grudge with Congress, I don’t want to mention it here. Congress party is moving forward, people of Haryana are moving forward with Congress. People are looking at us. The whole country is saying that Congress will form the government in Haryana. I think Selja will have some contribution to it as well. The contribution of Congress workers on the ground will be more than that. On the question of keeping distance from the election campaign, Selja said, ‘Earlier I went out for campaigning and now I will go out for campaigning. Initially candidates are also busy with their work. I could not even reach the time of nomination. Some things happen in a party, it’s not good to share them here, there is also party discipline.

‘I want to contest assembly elections’

On the question of Selja’s candidates not getting priority in ticket distribution, Selja said that everyone gives their own recommendations. In the end, only time will tell who happens to what and whose fortune shines. Some things happen in the party and they happen in every election. She said that she herself wants to contest assembly elections from Uklana. Ukalna is my village and work has been done there. Not only in Naranonda, many places we felt could have better candidates. In such a situation, we had given names on several seats, but the party has decided.

Selja rejected the BJP’s offer

Kumari Selja has rejected the offer of BJP and Manohar Lal Khattar. He said that I have a longer political career than the BJP leaders who are commenting today. BJP leaders should not advise me, I know my way and my party knows my way. We will do it and go strong. I know what kind of statements are being made. Beliefs are being spread that Selja is going to this party. On the question of joining the BJP, she said, “I can never even think of doing that. Selja has Congress blood in her veins.” I had said earlier that as my father was wrapped in the Congress tricolor, Shelja will also be wrapped in the Congress tricolor. My commitment is to my party and my leader. BJP has no other issue. Congress leadership knows the reality, Congress workers know it and I know it.

Expressed his desire to become Chief Minister

Selja wants to retain himself in the race to become the Chief Minister of Haryana. He said that anyone can claim for CM, everyone can have a claim. Selja never disappoints, never disappoints. I have seen many highs and lows. As a politician I also want to become Chief Minister. Right now, the way to become the Chief Minister of Haryana is open. Congress has not announced any leader as CM face. The face of the CM in Congress is decided by the party high command after the elections. Selja said that at first it is not even known who will become the chief minister after the elections. The Chief Minister’s decision is always taken by the High Command. Apart from this, everyone is self-protective.

Hooda’s tension increased

Kumari Selja may not contest assembly elections, but she has not given up her desire to become CM. In such a situation, Shelja has increased the tension of Bhupendra Singh Hooda by expressing his desire to become the Chief Minister. If the Congress returns to power, Selja will also claim to be the chief minister. Selja comes from the Dalit community and the way Congress is constantly trying to help the Dalit community. In such a situation it is not easy for the Congress leadership to ignore the name of Kumar Selja. Thus Hooda may be playing the election openly, but after the election he might face a stiff challenge from Selja for the post of CM?
