Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai has termed the membership drive of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as propaganda. He said this is only to mislead the public. With this campaign, BJP wants to divert the public’s attention from the main issues that once one becomes a member, it makes no sense to take membership again and again.
He said that I have taken membership of Congress once, so will I continue to take membership again and again? The only purpose of this membership drive is to mislead the public as BJP has not done any work during its tenure. Attacking the saffron party, Ajay Rai asked if Varanasi has become Kyoto?
Marked on Chief Minister Yogi
The Congress leader also reacted to CM Yogi’s statement in which he said that the saint is not a slave of any authority. He said that certainly in our country a person who wears saffron is looked upon with respect, but only Yogiji and BJP people lied by wearing saffron. Due to which the respect towards him has decreased in the minds of the people. After coming to power, these people have broken the respect people had for saints.
BJP’s membership drive
Bharatiya Janata Party is once again running a membership drive from 2nd September on the occasion of Organization Day, with the aim of making 10 crore members. Prime Minister Modi took membership on the very first day, from today this campaign is starting in Uttar Pradesh, the aim of which is to make 3 crore members.
It is being inaugurated today by giving membership to state president Bhupendra Chaudhary, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya. The BJP is going to launch the campaign on September 4-5 at the district level, in which specific targets will be given to all MPs, MLAs and officials. The campaign will be completely digital.
